A banking simulation for business schools: your students run a virtual bank.
TrezCap gives a business school a working virtual bank, FinTreasury Bank, for its banking and finance courses. Students learn a concept, then do the job: quote an FX deal, fund a liquidity shortfall, appraise a loan, open an account and check KYC, act on a risk limit. The platform calculates every figure, students take the decisions, and every decision is scored. Your faculty stay in charge of the class.
What the simulation covers
- Treasury and markets: FX dealing, the money market, bonds and G-Secs, ALM and liquidity, with deals that flow on to settlement and the accounts.
- Branch and retail banking: account opening, KYC, counter-fraud red flags and complaint handling, on branch desks with customer records.
- Credit: working capital and term loans, credit rating, loan classification and the flagship 100 Crore Credit Decision.
- Risk and compliance: market risk and VaR, Basel capital, limits, AML monitoring, and maker-checker on approvals.
- Corporate finance and investments: capital budgeting, valuation, working capital and portfolio cases for the finance side of the course.
How a class uses it
- Set up a cohort for your course and share its class code or QR link; students who join show up in your results.
- Assign the work: simulations, module quizzes with a due date, and announcements. The Syllabus Navigator shows where each topic of your paper is taught, practised and assessed, and says plainly where it is not.
- Follow the class in the Faculty Command Centre: Analyse My Class shows where the cohort stands and what to teach next, and you can run a debrief after a simulation. Marks export to your gradebook as a CSV.
- Close with a capstone: an end-to-end case the platform scores and your faculty grade against a rubric, with a viva only if you ask for one.
- Certificates of Completion with an id and QR code, which anyone can verify online.
College sign-in and your LMS
Students and faculty can sign in with the account the college already gives them: Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta or another standard OpenID Connect sign-in. A college’s Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard can open TrezCap directly through LTI 1.3, and the LMS course becomes a TrezCap class. Each college is set up with the TrezCap team, and faculty accounts are approved by a person.
Why a virtual bank, and not only case studies
A case study tells students what a banker decided. A simulation makes them decide, with the numbers moving as they do, and shows the consequence: the margin that shrank, the limit that was breached, the loan that went bad a year later. It works beside your lectures and cases. It is a training environment on simulated data, not connected to any real bank, market or payment network.

What is a banking simulation for business schools?
It is a virtual bank that students operate as part of a course: they take the decisions of a dealer, a credit officer, a branch officer or a risk manager, the platform calculates the figures, and each decision is scored. TrezCap's virtual bank is FinTreasury Bank.
Which courses does it fit?
Banking, treasury and FX, financial markets, credit, risk management, corporate finance and financial management papers in MBA, PGDM, BBA and B.Com programmes, and finance capstones.
Can students sign in with their college account?
Yes. A college can connect Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta or another OpenID Connect sign-in, and can open TrezCap from Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard through LTI 1.3. Each college is set up with the TrezCap team.
How do faculty assess students?
Quizzes are marked by TrezCap, simulations are scored by its calculators, and capstones are graded by your own faculty against a rubric. Marks export to your gradebook as a CSV.
Is it free to try?
Yes. Students and faculty can start free, and a college can ask about a pilot for a class.
Topic guides your learners can start with
FX dealing · ALM in banks · JAIIB and CAIIB practice · G-Secs and bond trading · Credit appraisal and working capital assessment · Treasury management basics · KYC and AML in banks
